I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy and my doctor prescribed PEG-3350 & Electrolytes Unflav. I've heard horror stories about the prep. Has anyone had experience with this? How bad is it really? I'm trying to brace myself for the worst but hoping for the best. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! I'm also a bit concerned about the side effects. Has anyone experienced anything serious? How did you handle it?

Stay hydrated. I take small sips of water and clear fluids between doses. Helped a lot. Just make sure your bathroom is stocked with supplies. You'll be in there a lot.

I personally found it easier to drink it cold. Just make sure you sip it slowly. The taste is awful, but it’s not so bad if you take it slow enough.

I got really dizzy and had a bad headache. It was rough. Just make sure you have someone around to keep an eye on you. Any signs of dehydration and you should go to the ER.

I've been through it, and it's not pleasant, but it's doable. Drink lots of water and clear liquids. Stay close to the bathroom. It's a rough night, but it's only one night.

I had this years ago and it was intense but hey, it’s good to get a clean insides. Make sure to take it all at once and don't mix it with anything. It'll be over in no time.

I spent the night by the toilet and I felt so dehydrated. Almost like I was puking my insides out.

I had a really bad stomachache. Remember to drink it slowly and keep sipping water. It's a long process but it's worth it!
