I was prescribed Penicillin G 20mu Inj, 1 Vial for a severe case of pneumonia. Has anyone else used this for serious infections? What were your experiences with side effects? Be cautious with IM injections. I had a friend who got nerve damage from one. It was awful—numbness, tingling, and weakness for months. Make sure your doc knows what they're doing, ways to prevent to decrease the risk of nerve damage.
I've had Penicillin before but never as an injection. I had diarrhea, but that's common with antibiotics. If you see signs of an allergic reaction, get help ASAP!
I was worried about the high potassium symptoms, but I never experienced them. Just had some mild stomach upset. Monitor your symptoms closely and don't hesitate to call your doctor if something seems off.
Penicillin is a famous antibiotic! I had a history professor who swore by it. But yeah, it's old, and it's a bit scary to think about the side effects.
