Just finished a course of Penicillin VK for an ear infection. I got the black, hairy tongue thing. Gross, but it went away after I stopped the medication. My doctor said it's a harmless side effect and recommended using a soft toothbrush and lots of mouth rinsing to keep things clean. Super weird but not too bad.
