I've been taking Phentermin/topiramate 15-92mg ER CP for a few months now to help with weight loss, and I've noticed some significant changes. The combination of phentermine and topiramate has definitely helped reduce my appetite and cravings, which has made sticking to a reduced-calorie diet much easier. I've also incorporated more physical activity into my routine, which has been great for my overall health. However, I've experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting, such as numbness and tingling in my hands and feet, as well as some changes in taste. I've read about others experiencing similar side effects, so I know I'm not alone, but it's still a bit concerning. Has anyone else dealt with these issues, and if so, how did you manage them? I'm also wondering if these side effects will go away over time or if I need to speak with my doctor about adjusting my medication. Thank you so much for any advice.

I was on a similar combination medication and had to stop because of the kidney stones. I ended up in the ER with severe back pain and blood in my urine. It was terrifying. If you experience any of those symptoms, don't wait—get medical help right away. It's not worth the risk. My doctor mentioned the only time this was a problem was when the medication was combined with others or the person already had a predisposition to kidney issues, but it's worth mentioning.

Wow, I can't believe how many people are experiencing such severe side effects. I've had a good run with Phentermin/topiramate and have seen amazing results. Just be patient and communicate with your doctor if you feel any side effects, they always have solutions.

It's great that you're managing side effects successfully. It's definitely a big adjustment. I'm just curious about the sleep disruption. Have you found any helpful tips to manage through them.

I've been on this medication for a couple of months and I've noticed that my taste buds have changed. I can't stand the taste of meat now, which is a good thing because I've switched to a more plant-based diet. Has anyone else experienced a similar change in taste?

Hang in there, everyone. I had a rough start with this medication too, but my body adjusted after a few weeks. Keep in touch with your doctor and don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it. You've got this!

Does anyone know if there are any natural alternatives to this medication that can help with appetite suppression and weight loss? I've been researching and found some interesting options, but I'd love to hear from people who have actual experience. My doctor told me I'm not a candidate for other medications and this was the best choice for me. I just want to hear other options!

Just a heads up, if you're taking this medication, you should probably avoid alcohol. One night of drinking and I woke up the next morning feeling like I had the flu. Stomach aches, nausea, and a headache that wouldn’t go away. Sticking to this with little to no alcohol and it’s been an easy ride so far, but it’s been tough.

I'm on week 3 and feeling great! Very minor side effects that came and went quickly. I had some numbness and tingling in my fingers, but it was very minor and I got used to it. Hunger has been significantly reduced. People keep telling me that it's the best choice for weight loss but I wish it would have been mentioned that this can cause suicidal thoughts as well,

I've been on this medication for about 6 months now, and while it has helped with weight loss, the side effects have been rough. I've experienced some pretty severe headaches and dizziness, but nothing as bad as the flu-like symptoms and nausea. My doctor suggested taking it with food and staying hydrated, which has helped a bit. Persistence is key, but it's tough when the side effects are so unpleasant.

I think a lot of people on here are missing the point. The side effects can be tough, but this medication can be a lifesaver for people struggling with obesity. I've lost 30 pounds in 3 months and feel better than ever. It's a personal decision, and you need to weigh the pros and cons with your doctor. But for me, the benefits have far outweighed the side effects.
