Plasma-Lyte A Sol For Inj 1000ml: Anybody had any side effects from this IV fluid?
I was given Plasma-Lyte A Sol For Inj, 1000ml during a recent surgery to replenish lost fluids and electrolytes. I know it's generally safe, but I want to know if anyone else has experienced any side effects. The list of possible side effects is quite long, and I'm curious to hear about others' experiences. I had a seizure from Plasma-Lyte once. It was terrifying. Just make sure to monitor closely and report any issues ASAP.
I always get irritation at the injection site, but it’s never been too bad. Just some redness and slight pain.
I experienced some hives and swelling after my first dose. Had to stop the treatment and switch to a different solution.
I think the most important thing is to communicate with your doctor. They can help you manage any side effects.
I had some severe dizziness and confusion after receiving Plasma-Lyte. It was pretty scary. Luckily, the doctor caught it quickly.
Anyone else notice increased thirst after getting this? It was so bad I thought I was dying of thirst.
I’ve never had any issues, but I have seen people get really sick. Always good to be cautious and know the signs.
