Polyeth Glycol 3350 Nf Powder 238gm: My Experience with This Laxative - What Should I Expect?
I've been dealing with occasional constipation for a while and my doctor recommended Polyethylene Glycol 3350, also known as Polyeth Glycol 3350 Nf Powder 238gm. It's an osmotic laxative that's supposed to work by drawing water into the intestines, softening stool. The doctor said it usually takes 1-3 days to work, and I’ve been using it for a week now. I'm not a fan of the taste and the side effects have been a bit uncomfortable, but I think it's helping. I've read that some people have allergic reactions, but thankfully I haven’t experienced that. I've just got some gas and bloating. How does this compare to other laxatives people have tried? Has anyone else had similar experiences with this medication? Are there any other tips or tricks to make it more bearable?

I took it for a couple of weeks, but it gave me really bad cramps. Had to stop using it. Luckily, my doctor was able to suggest an alternative that works better for me.
I had some really bad diarrhea that lasted a few days. Not fun. I think I’ll try a different brand next time.
I've been on this for a month and it's been pretty effective. I've felt bloated though. Keep an eye on hydration.
I found that taking it when I wake up, helps with the bloating. I never experienced any of the severe side effects.
I've been taking it for a while and it's helped a lot with my constipation. But I did have some loose stools for a couple of days. My doctor said that's normal, just make sure to stay hydrated.
I've had gas and bloating, too. I've also had some stomach cramps but nothing too bad. It's all about finding the right dose for you.
