A Detailed guide including my personal experience with Potassium Chloride 20meq Inj, 50ml, including the side effects I experienced. Hoping to help others needing to take it. I have been dealing with low potassium levels due to a medical condition and have been prescribed this injection. After my first few doses, I started experiencing some concerning symptoms. I felt really weak, and lightheaded. I had a constant tingling sensation in my arms and legs, it was pretty unsettling. I went to the ER and they told me that I was experiencing side effects such as numbness and tingling due to this medication and that in rare cases, it can lead to high potassium levels. Hence, I didn't rest until my potassium levels got back to normal. I have seen on forums that it has caused allergic reactions in some people. So, I would recommend caution and monitoring to anyone who is prescribed this medication. It's essential to report any side effects to your doctor immediately. If you have been prescribed this medication, please share your experience and any side effects you've encountered and what you did to manage them.

I was given this after a severe vomiting episode from the flu and it did the trick. Once my potassium levels were back up I never got that awful tingling and dizziness again. This could happen to anyone at any moment in their lives. Be ready.

Can someone explain to me why these symptoms are normal? I'm not a doctor, but it seems like high potassium levels would make me feel better, not worse.

Glad there are no allergic reactions mentioned in my last medical checkup. I am still paranoid about the side effects especially when it comes to tissue damage. Damage at the injection site is never pretty. Anyone have any tips on how to minimize the risk?

Yeah, this stuff is no joke. I had to use it a while ago when my levels were way off. I got dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out a few times. It's crucial to keep an eye on your symptoms and report any issues to your doctor right away. I also recommend poping the doc with these symptoms the minute you feel them. Last thing you want is this causing something more serious.

I just started taking this and noticed I'm getting a bit dizzy sometimes. Is that normal? I thought my potassium levels were supposed to go up and help my symptoms, not make them worse.
