I've recently been prescribed Potassium Cit ER 1620mg (15meq) Tab for kidney stone prevention, specifically for calcium oxalate and uric acid stones. I've started taking it and I think it's working well, but I've had some mild side effects like stomach pain and occasional diarrhea. I've read about the severe side effects and I'm a bit worried. Does anyone have experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Also, how do you manage the side effects? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Be careful with this one, folks. I've heard stories of people having really bad reactions. Just keep an eye out and listen to your body. If something feels off, don't hesitate to contact your doctor. It's better to be safe than sorry.

The more I read about this, the more I think it's worth a shot. I've had kidney stones before and they were awful. If this can help prevent them, I'm all for it. I'm going to give it a try and see how it goes. Wish me luck!

I take this medication and it has really helped with my kidney stones. Just make sure to stay hydrated. It seems to help with the side effects and overall makes it a bit easier to manage.

I just started taking this medication and I've been feeling pretty good so far. No side effects yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I heard that if you don't have any side effects at all, you're lucky. I've heard there can be a real mix of things people experience.

I had stomach pain pretty bad at first. The doctor said to take it with food and it helped a lot. Also, I noticed the tablet shell in my stool, but my doctor said that's normal. Kind of gross, but at least it's not harmful. Good to know you're not alone on that one.
