I recently started using Qutenza 8% 1 Patch Kit for nerve pain relief, and I have to say, it's been a rollercoaster. The patch contains capsaicin, which desensitizes the pain-sensing nerves. I had heard it would be intense, but I didn't expect the burning sensation to be so overwhelming. My doctor assured me it's normal and should subside within a few days. I've been using cool packs to manage the pain, but I've noticed some irritation at the application site. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips for managing the side effects? I'm also curious about the long-term effects and if anyone has had any serious reactions like high blood pressure or severe allergic reactions. I'll keep you all updated on my progress!

I'm on my third patch and it's become much more manageable. The initial burning is bad, but it's definitely better than the neuropathy pain. Just stick with it if you can.

I had a friend get seriously high blood pressure after using Qutenza. It was a real scare. Just be careful and monitor yourself closely. Well, my doctor is pretty awesome, never had issues with my BP.

I've also had the patch and the burning sensation was brutal at first but after a few days, it felt like nothing. Just hang in there, it gets better.

I'm considering trying Qutenza for my neuropathy. I hope it's as effective as everyone says! Just worried about the initial pain and irritation. Any tips for minimizing those side effects?

I've used Qutenza for a while now, and while the initial application is rough, it's definitely helped with my nerve pain. I've had some irritation and a bit of an upset stomach, but nothing too bad. I keep a cool pack handy just like you suggested.

Seriously, the burning sensation is no joke. But if you can get through it, it really does help with the nerve pain. I had to take some pain relievers and cool the area. I'm using my phone and it's a bit hard to type but this helped me a lot.
