I was recently prescribed Repatha 140mg/ml injections to help lower my LDL cholesterol levels. My doctor recommended it because statins alone weren't enough. I've been using it for a couple of months now, and while I haven't noticed any severe side effects, I'm curious about others' experiences. I've read about potential allergic reactions and high blood sugar symptoms, which are quite concerning. Has anyone else dealt with these issues? I'm also wondering about the injection process itself—is it as bad as it sounds? I'd love to hear any tips or advice from anyone who's been through this. Additionally, if you've had trouble getting insurance coverage for Repatha, I'd be interested in hearing about your experiences and how you managed it.

I can't believe how expensive this stuff is. My insurance doesn't cover much, so I'm paying a fortune out of pocket. Anyone know of any patient assistance programs?

I actually had a really tough time getting the hang of the injections, but lately, I've found a pretty comfy spot to do it every time. You should also use a smaller gauge needle if you're struggling with pain.

Be mindful of the cold storage requirements for Repatha. It has to stay refrigerated until just before use. The first time I tried it, I almost forgot and had to run to the store to replace it. Fortunately, I got myself organized for the regular doses so it's not an issue anymore. You might want to set reminders.

I've heard Repatha can cause high blood sugar. Is it true?

I've had no major side effects or issues so far but I'm giving it a few months before claiming success. If there's anything else I should be keeping an eye out for, let me know!
