I've been on Ribavirin 200mg Tablets for a couple of months now as part of my hepatitis C treatment regimen. I'd love to hear from others who've taken this medication, especially about the side effects. I've experienced some fatigue and hair loss, but I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with more severe issues like anemia or changes in eyesight. Has anyone had to discontinue the treatment due to side effects? Any tips for managing them would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a serious medication and being aware of the risks is crucial, such as the risk of severe anemia and birth defects. I want to make sure I'm doing everything right and staying informed. If you or someone you know is on this medication, I'd love to hear your experience and any advice you might have.

I've seen friends who had severe reactions from it. It is essential to take this medicine exactly as prescribed, and not just for the benefit of the drug itself, but because severe side effects like suicidal thoughts and severe anemia are a possibility.

I had to stop taking it after a few months because of severe hair loss. It was manageable at first, but it got to a point where it was too much to handle. My doctor switched me to a different regimen, and I'm doing better now.

I was on Ribavirin for about a year. The fatigue was brutal, and I ended up with some serious anemia. Make sure to get your blood counts checked regularly. Also, drink plenty of water and eat iron-rich foods to combat it.

It's not the easiest road, but I'm finally getting rid of the virus. Just keep pushing on, everyone. You're not alone!

I was super paranoid about the lung problems. Ended up getting an X-ray and everything was fine. Scary stuff though.

Be mindful of the suicidal thoughts warning. It's a serious drug and if you notice any changes in behavior or mood, get help right away. It's scary but true.

I hate the dry mouth. I've been chewing on ice cubes all day just to keep my mouth hydrated.
