I've seen friends who had severe reactions from it. It is essential to take this medicine exactly as prescribed, and not just for the benefit of the drug itself, but because severe side effects like suicidal thoughts and severe anemia are a possibility.
I had to stop taking it after a few months because of severe hair loss. It was manageable at first, but it got to a point where it was too much to handle. My doctor switched me to a different regimen, and I'm doing better now.
I was on Ribavirin for about a year. The fatigue was brutal, and I ended up with some serious anemia. Make sure to get your blood counts checked regularly. Also, drink plenty of water and eat iron-rich foods to combat it.
