I'm considering Ropivacaine 10mg/ml Inj, 20ml for childbirth. Any mothers out there who have used it? How was your experience? I'm worried about the side effects, especially the serious ones. How likely are they, and what should I be on the lookout for? It seems like a lot of the side effects are rare, but I want to be prepared. Has anyone experienced any lasting side effects?

I used this for a c-section and while I felt numb, it was more of a heavy feeling. They said the side effects can be a bit different depending on the dose. Some people even experience some back pain or numbness up to a few days after the procedure. All that was more important than any sort of pain for me.

I didn't have any issues but I know someone who didn't feel numb but did experience quite a lot of dizziness and headaches. I think these things are more likely to happen if the dosage was too high. I would keep in touch with your doctor and ask if there is a way to lower the dosage if you're experiencing some of the more intense side effects.

Side effects can vary wildly, and the list is a bit long, but I wouldn't worry too much about the serious ones. I think they are there to scare you, and make sure you know what to look for, but they don't happen to everyone. Just make sure you can trust your doctor. And ask questions if you're doubtful.

If you can't talk, something is probably wrong. I was under the assumption that any weird symptoms might've been a reaction from the labor, but it turns out it was all from the epidural. Serious symptoms are worth the emergency attention.

I was a bit worried about something going wrong, but looking back, it was a good experience. The side effects were minor and worth the relief from the pain. Now I need to do a better job of keeping my kids safe from all the strange side effects I got to experience.

I had a bit of an itchy rash after my epidural, but it wasn't terrible and the nurses just gave me some Benadryl to help with it. The side effects aren't serious for everyone, but it's always important to report them — even if they seem minor. Serious ones like allergic reactions are rare, but it's good to be aware of them.

I was nauseous after the epidural, but it might've been from the pain medication they gave me before the epidural was administered. I can't say for sure, but it was a bit rough, and I was weak for a while after. So if you're wanting to avoid that, you might want to ask your doctor to skip the pain meds.
