I recently had a procedure where Sensorcaine -Mpf/epi 0.5%inj, 30ml was used as a local anesthetic. While it was effective in numbing the area, I experienced some side effects that I wasn't expecting. Has anyone else had similar experiences with this medication? I'm curious to hear about your stories and any advice you might have.

I had some severe dizziness and a metallic taste in my mouth after the procedure, but my doctor assured me these were normal side effects. However, I'm still a bit concerned because I know these can be signs of more serious issues like methemoglobinemia. How do you know when to seek immediate medical attention versus when to just wait it out? Are there any other side effects I should be on the lookout for? I also heard it can cause skin reactions at the injection site, so I'm keeping an eye on that.

I'm also wondering if anyone has information on how long the side effects typically last? And are there any long-term effects I should be aware of?

I'm really interested in hearing from anyone who has used this medication, especially if you have had any severe reactions or know someone who has. Any insights or tips on managing side effects would be greatly appreciated!

I had it for a dental procedure, and the whole area around my mouth went numb for hours. It felt like I had cotton mouth for a while, but it went away eventually. I didn't experience any of the severe side effects you mentioned. Just make sure your doctor monitors you closely during the procedure.

I've had a bad reaction to the skin at the site of injection, anyone else had that?

I've used Sensorcaine for dental procedures a few times and never had any issues. Maybe it's just a sensitivity issue for some people? But definitely pay attention to any signs of allergic reaction—they need to be taken seriously.

Methemoglobinemia can be life-threatening, so if you experience blue or gray discoloration of the lips, nails, or skin, or any severe dizziness, you should seek medical attention immediately. Epinephrine can cause some of the symptoms you're experiencing, but it's typically safe. If you're feeling extremely hot or cold, or experiencing chest pain, that's also a red flag. It's always better to err on the side of caution and talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.

I had a procedure where they used too much. I started sweating a lot and felt really shaky. I had to lie down for a bit to recover. Just be mindful, and if you feel something's not right, don't just wait it out.

I had a similar experience with dizziness and a metallic taste. It was definitely unsettling, but my doctor said it was normal. Just make sure to follow up with your healthcare provider if symptoms persist.
