Omeprazole 40mg Capsules are a common treatment for heartburn, acid reflux, and ulcers by reducing stomach acid to heal the lining. It's a popular medication, but there are some serious side effects to be aware of, ranging from kidney problems to severe skin reactions. I've been taking it for a few months now, and I'm curious to hear from others. How has your experience been with this medication? Have you encountered any of the listed side effects? Is it worth the potential risks for the relief it provides?

Why is it that all the good medications have scary side effects? I guess it's just the trade-off we have to make. Bottom line, omeprazole works for me. Doctors are surprisingly lax about monitoring side effects.

I've been on omeprazole for over a year now. It's helped my acid reflux tremendously, but I did experience some nausea at first. Nothing too bad, though. It's definitely worth it for me.

I had a terrible allergic reaction to omeprazole. Swelling of the throat, difficulty breathing, the works. Went to the ER and never went back on it. Be cautious, folks.

I've heard horror stories about the skin reactions. If you start to get any weird rashes or blistering, get to a doctor ASAP. Not worth messing around with.

Who else has had issues with gas and diarrhea? It was awful. I switched to a different medication and it's been much better.
