I've been recently prescribed Octreotide to manage my acromegaly symptoms and I am wondering if anyone else has experience with this medication. How has your experience been? Did you notice any significant improvements or side effects? Please share your stories, tips, or any warnings you might have. Is it worth a try? Does it help with acromegaly? Did you experience the common side effects or the urget ones? Please share your thoughts and experiences! Almost everyone has side effects, but how bad are they? Most of my symptoms match the urgent side effects, should I be worried?

Octreotide has been a mixed bag for me. It's helped control my diarrhea and flushing from my carcinoid tumor, but I've had to deal with some nasty gallbladder problems. I ended up in the hospital with severe pain and vomiting, and they did an ultrasound and found gallstones. I had to have my gallbladder removed. I wish my doctor had warned me more about this. I'm still not sure if I'm comfortable with the medication and if the side effects are worth it.

I've been on Octreotide for about a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my acromegaly. My growth hormone levels have decreased significantly, and the symptoms like joint pain and excessive sweating have improved a lot. As for side effects, I've experienced some constipation and stomach pain, but nothing too severe. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if your doctor thinks it's a good fit. Just make sure to stay in close contact with them to monitor your progress and side effects.

I was skeptical about trying Octreotide at first, but it's made a huge difference in my quality of life. The injection process is a little daunting, but it's worth it for the improvement in my symptoms. It's also pretty expensive, but my insurance covers most of the cost. I've heard great things, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the fact that these injections are a new thing.

I've been on Octreotide for a few months now, and I've noticed that my hair has started to thin. Has anyone else experienced hair loss as a side effect? I'm really worried about this, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to prevent it. I've been really worried about this, but I'm not sure if it's really due to the medication. Should I talk to my doctor about this? My doctors have had trouble identifying the source of the hair loss, and I'm not sure I can trust him. I'm not sure what this means for me.

I'm not sure if I'm having side effects from Octreotide or from other medication. My doctor gave me a set of questions and tests to perform, but I'm not sure I was listening correctly. I'm concerned about the high or low blood sugar symptoms, and I'm not sure what to look for.

I had a severe allergic reaction to Octreotide the first time I used it. I didn't know that was a potential side effect. I broke out in a rash all over my body, and my throat started to close up. It was terrifying. I had to go to the ER and get treated with epinephrine. I was so scared I was going to die. Since then, I get allergic reactions with everything. Now I only take it in the ER with a doctor present. What should I do?
