I've been prescribed Purinethol 50mg Tablets for my leukemia treatment and I'm a bit concerned about the side effects. Has anyone else taken this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially with managing the side effects. The potential for severe reactions is scary, but I hope that with proper monitoring, it can be managed effectively. I've read about the severe and potentially life-threatening side effects which include if you see symptoms like fever, severe sore throat, cough, or even a new skin lump or growth. Report them to doctor immediately! Still, I'm hoping to hear from others who have been through this.

My doctor said the side effects are usually manageable. But honestly, I feel like I'm on an emotional roller coaster. One day I'm fine, the next, I'm struggling.

Stay alert for any signs of infection. My immune system was a mess while on this medication.

I'm curious—did anyone experience low blood sugar? My kid is on this medication, and I’m worried about that.

I've been on Purinethol for a while now, and while it's tough, my doctor has helped me manage the side effects. Stay in close contact with your healthcare team!

I had a really bad reaction to Purinethol. I ended up in the hospital with severe liver problems. If you start feeling really off, go to the ER immediately.

Be prepared for some serious fatigue and maybe even nausea. My doctor gave me some tips to help with those. Just take it one day at a time.

I’ve found that eating smaller, more frequent meals helps with the nausea and upset stomach. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference!

I had to stop taking Purinethol because of severe allergic reactions. It's not worth risking your life.

I didn't have any major issues, just some upset stomach and decreased appetite. But I'm lucky, I know. Stay vigilant, everyone!
