I recently started taking Colestid 5gm Granules 300gm to manage high cholesterol levels. This medication works by binding to bile acids in the gut, which helps the body remove more cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. While it's been effective, I've also experienced some side effects like constipation and stomach cramps. Has anyone else had similar experiences? How do you manage these side effects? I'd love to hear some tips and tricks from others who have been on this medication.

I've been on Colestid for a few months now, and I've found that increasing my fiber intake has helped a lot with the constipation. I also drink plenty of water, and it has made a huge difference.

I wish I had known about the potential side effects before starting Colestid. I experienced stomach pain and vomiting, and it was really unpleasant. Although I knew what I was getting myself into, I was still shocked. I had to stop taking it and find a different medication.

I've been on Colestid for a while and have had some issues with constipation. I've found that a high-fiber diet and staying hydrated helps a lot. Also, using a stool softener can be a lifesaver. Just make sure to talk to your doctor before starting any new supplements.

Just started Colestid and I'm already feeling the constipation. Any tips?

I hated Colestid. I had awful stomach cramps, and it made me feel bloated. Switched to a different cholesterol-lowering drug and haven't had any issues. Side effects vary from person to person, but this one was a nightmare for me.

Colestid has been a game-changer for me. I've seen a significant drop in my cholesterol levels, and the side effects have been minimal.
