I recently started taking Simulect 10mg Sdv Injection to prevent my body from rejecting my new kidney. It's been a rollercoaster, and I'm curious to hear from others who have gone through this. What side effects did you experience? How did you manage them? And were there any unexpected benefits or drawbacks? The medical professionals were very thorough, but it's always good to hear from people who have actually been through it. It's been hard keeping track of everything — I never knew there were so many potential side effects! The serious ones have me a bit worried. Has anyone experienced any severe issues, and how did you handle them? Did you have any problems with insurance covering the cost of this medication?

Medication side effects are no joke.

These posts make me reconsider my choice of a kidney transplant. I don't think it was worth the trouble. This medication is too scary.

I've been on Simulect for a few months now, and honestly, it hasn't been too bad. I did experience some headaches and trouble sleeping at first, but my doctor adjusted the dose and those side effects went away. Just make sure to stay hydrated and eat well – it'll make all the difference. It can be overwhelming, but as long as you stay on top of everything, you'll be fine.

Simulect is a powerful drug, and I had some serious side effects like severe nausea and vomiting at first. It was rough, but my doctor put me on some anti-nausea medication, and it helped a lot. Definitely talk to your doctor about any side effects you're experiencing. It’s so important to be proactive.

I had a really bad reaction to Simulect when I was first prescribed, but it turned out to be an allergic reaction. I had hives, itching, and swelling all over. I went to the ER and they switched me to a different medication. It was scary, but I'm glad I got to the hospital in time. If you know you’re allergic to it, avoid it at all costs.

I'm in a similar boat. My only side effect so far has been some minor acne. I've heard a lot about the serious stuff, but thankfully, I haven't experienced any of that yet. Stay vigilant though. I just had a conversation with my doctor about it. My credit card got me covered by my insurance. Definitely worth checking out. It’s a relief to know that it can actually save my kidney. I keep on telling people how important it is to get the right support. It's a tough road, but it's worth it.

I'm new to this and I'm relieved to see some common symptoms listed. I thought I was the only one going through it. It's always scary when you experience something new, but reading about others’ experiences really helps.

Has anyone else noticed any changes in their blood sugar levels? I've been feeling really thirsty and hungry lately, and I'm starting to worry.

One thing that really helped me was keeping a journal of my symptoms and any changes I noticed. It made it easier to talk to my doctor and make adjustments as needed. But yeah, definitely be cautious if you develop an infection. I got a UTI while using and had to go back to the ER.

Keep in mind, this medication can be really tough on your body. I had some pretty severe mood swings and muscle cramps at first. Talk to your doctor about these side effects right away. Also, if you start feeling really weak or have any breathing issues, get to a doctor ASAP. It's scary, but totally manageable with the right care. And keep a close eye on your wound sites — any new drainage or pain should be checked out immediately.
