I've been on Hydrochlorothiazide for years and it's been a lifesaver. I did experience some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and monitor your electrolytes.
I had some strange sensations in my feet, like burning and tingling. I brought it up with my doctor and he said it could be a side effect of the medication. Just needed to be cautions.

I had a really bad reaction to this med. I got a rash and had to stop taking it. Be careful and if you experience any strange symptoms, go to the ER right away. Might be worth it to ask your doc about other meds or lower dose.
