I've recently been prescribed Tenormin 100mg Tablets (Atenolol) for high blood pressure. As a beta-blocker, it's supposed to help lower my blood pressure and reduce the strain on my heart. However, I'm a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What were your experiences with side effects? I've heard that it can cause fatigue and dizziness, which would be a big deal for me since I have a demanding job. Also, what should I do if I experience any of the urgent side effects like severe dizziness or fainting? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Be careful with this medication. I took it for a couple of months and it made me feel incredibly tired. I had to stop because it was affecting my work and daily life. Plus, I noticed my hands and feet were cold all the time. Not a fun experience.

I've had to take Tenormin for about two years now. For me, the dizziness and fatigue were the worst. I had to give up running, which was tough. But my blood pressure is under control, and that's the important part. I also learned that eating a light snack before taking it helps me feel less lightheaded.

I've been on Tenormin for a few years now and it's been great for my blood pressure. As for side effects, I did experience some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Make sure to talk to your doctor if you feel any severe symptoms though.

I've had two heart attacks, so my doctor prescribed me Tenormin after that. It really helps with my angina symptoms. But yeah, the fatigue can be rough. I found that scheduling my doses around my workouts really helps mitigate that. Plus, I started sleeping better which I think is a side benefit. And no severe side effects for me, so that's a plus.

I've never had any issues with Tenormin. It's kept my blood pressure in check and I haven't had any of the side effects people are talking about. Maybe I'm just lucky?

I had a weird allergic reaction to this stuff. My skin started peeling and I had a fever. I went to the ER and they had to give me an antihistamine and steroids to get it under control. Scary stuff.

I've mentioned this in other threads, but it's worth saying again: always talk to your doctor before making any changes to your medication. Even if you're feeling better, don't just stop taking it.
