Tetrahydrozoline 0.05% Op Soln 15ml is a popular eye drop solution used to relieve redness in the eyes caused by minor irritations like dust, pollen, or swimming. It works by constricting the tiny blood vessels in the eyes, which reduces redness and provides quick relief. While it's generally effective, the possible side effects listed in the FDA documentation are quite concerning. Has anyone had any significant reactions to this drug that would make them reconsider using it? This post is for you to share your experiences and opinions.

I've used these drops for years and never had any issues. They work great for my allergies!

I had a bad experience with these eye drops. I used them last week and woke up the next morning with really irritated eyes. Can someone advise where I can learn more about what could have happened. I am not sure if it was a rare reaction or what.

I'm an Ophthalmologist and I can tell you that while Tetrahydrozoline is effective, it's not a long-term solution. If you find yourself needing these drops regularly, it's a good idea to see an eye doctor to rule out any underlying issues. Also, avoid touching your eye directly as this can cause an allergic reaction.

I've seen it on other forums that some people have experienced the burning or stinging side effect, but it usually goes away quickly. I'd recommend trying it for a short period. But if you experience anything serious, definitely get to a doctor.

I had no idea these drops could cause such severe reactions. I'll definitely be more cautious next time I use them.

Has anyone tried natural remedies for red eyes? I've been using a cold compress and it seems to work just as well without the risks.

I think the key is to make sure you're using them exactly as directed. If you overuse them, you might experience the side-effects they mentioned. I try to stick to no more than 3 times a day.

Tetrahydrozoline is a bit of a mystery to me. I've heard it can cause rebound redness if you use it too much. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's great that there are so many solutions. I used these when I was traveling and the sun was really bright. It was quick relief. No side effects for me. Whether you use these regularly, please be careful and always watch out for signs of a serious allergic reaction.

I had a weird reaction the first time I used them that caused severe eye pain. I’ll stick to Vicks for my eye drops.
