I was prescribed Tinidazole 500mg Tablets for a vaginal infection, and while I'm glad it's helping, I'm really worried about the side effects. The burning sensation in my mouth is unbearable, and I'm not sure if it's normal or if I should be concerned. I've read about some serious side effects like seizures and allergic reactions, and it's making me really anxious. I've always been a bit wary of antibiotics, but this one seems particularly scary. Has anyone else had similar experiences or know if these side effects are common? I'm really hoping this isn't as serious as it feels in the moment-- I'm just worried and haven't been able to reach my doctor for advice. I've experienced an upset stomach, too, but I'm more worried about the neurological kind of effects. I've also been on this medication for a week now and this is happening. What is the statiscal likelihood of getting these side effects? Am I just unlucky? Is this an appropriate amount of time to seek medical help or should I just wait it out?

I had to stop taking Tinidazole because of severe allergic reactions. It's not worth risking your health over. If you're experiencing any of the serious side effects, stop taking it and go to the hospital immediately. Follow the information on the drug packet and in the descriptions of what to do with serious side effects. It might seem annoying to go to the emergency room but it is much better than the alternative.

I had a burning sensation in my mouth too, but my doctor said it was just a common side effect. However, the burning feeling went away after a couple of days. I would still recommend contacting your doctor, just to be sure. The side effects can be scary, but if you are prescribed something so dangerous, it is better to be safe.

I had an awful metallic taste in my mouth, but it wasn't as bad as the other side effects you mentioned. I would still be worried about the burning, tingling, or numbness. Report any serious side effects to your doctor as soon as possible.

I had a similar experience with Tinidazole. The bad taste in my mouth was awful, but it went away after a few days. I would definitely talk to your doctor about the burning sensation, though. It could be something serious, or sometimes it is just a bad reaction with no serious issues, but it is always better to be safe.
