Hey everyone, just started Altoprev 60mg ER Tablets for high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. My doctor said it'll help lower the risk of heart disease and heart attacks. Has anyone else taken this medication? What's your experience been like? There are some side effects listed but I haven't noticed any yet.

I'm on Altoprev too and I'm glad I found this thread. I've had some urinary changes, nothing crazy, and I wasn't sure if it was the meds. I'll definitely let my doctor know and do some more research.

Statins like Altoprev are really effective, but the potential side effects can be scary. One thing I do to help is make sure I take it at the same time every day and stay consistent with my diet. Also, if you're taking another medication or have any health issues, check in with your doctor to make sure they're aware of everything going on. Safety first!

I got super lucky with this one. No side effects and my cholesterol is down. So happy I didn't have to deal with some of the more serious side effects--but I'm always on the lookout for any issues just in case. Good luck, everyone!

I've been on Altoprev for a few months now. It's been great for my cholesterol levels, but I did experience some muscle pain initially. My doctor told me it's a common side effect, so I just kept an eye on it. It went away after a couple of weeks. Just make sure to stay hydrated and talk to your doctor if it gets bad.

I've been taking Altoprev for a while and it really helps with my cholesterol. I only experienced some minor muscle pain, but it went away after a few weeks.

This is great! Thanks for sharing everyone. I’ve been on it for a week, everything seems fine so far, but I’ll keep an eye on those side effects.

I've been on Altoprev for a year and it's been a game-changer. I had to switch from the generic version due to some of the side effects but the ER tablets have been a lot better for me. Just make sure to tell your doctor about any pain or discomfort.

Anyone else get the flu-like symptoms? I felt awful the first week but it's been fine since. Just a word of caution, guys. It might take some time to adjust.
