I was recently prescribed Venlafaxine 100mg tablets for my anxiety disorder. I've been on them for about two months now, and while they've definitely helped with my anxiety, I've also experienced some side effects. I was initially worried about the more severe side effects, like serotonin syndrome, but thankfully, I haven't had any of those. However, I've been dealing with a lot of excessive sweating and some weight loss. Has anyone else had these issues? Are there any tips for managing them? Also, I've heard that it can take a while for the medication to reach its full effectiveness. How long did it take for you to feel the full benefits? I'm hopeful that the side effects will lessen over time. Additionally, I've had some weird dreams while on this medication. Anyone else experience that?

I had issues with this med, but I think it was because of other meds I was taking. It might be worth it to check in with your doctor about any other meds you're taking. I started getting heart palpitations and other scary things. Turns out it was the combo of meds. I hope you're feeling better soon!

I've had a really bad experience with this medication. I started getting horrible night sweats and couldn't sleep. I also had some weird allergic reaction. I had to switch meds after a week. I would be careful and talk to your doctor asap if you experience anything like this.

I've been on Venlafaxine for a year now, and the weight loss and sweating did subside after the first few months. I found that eating smaller, more frequent meals helped with the weight loss, and layering my clothes helped with the sweating. Hang in there; it does get better!

I've had the exact opposite experience. The anxiety relief took a while to kick in, but the side effects were minimal. I've had trouble sleeping, though, and some weird dreams. I just increased my dose recently, so hopefully, that helps with the anxiety.

I switched from Effexor to Venlafaxine and I have bloody been so much better. I had some side effects initially, but they have subsided. I would recommend giving it a few months to see how it works for you.
