I took Vibramycin a few years back and it was fine, I didn't have any problems with it. I did take it with a full glass of water, though, since it can cause throat irritation. But for the love of God, don't take it with milk or yogurt, it makes it way less effective.
Anyone else notice increased sensitivity to sunlight? I got a nasty sunburn after just a short walk outside. Sunscreen is a must if you're taking this medication.
I've had to take doxycycline a few times and honestly, the side effects are no fun. Just make sure to finish the entire course, even if you feel better. Stopping early can lead to antibiotic resistance. And for the love of God stay away from dairy, its not worth it.
I had a really bad reaction to this stuff. I ended up with hives and had to go to the ER. Definitely something to keep an eye out for. If you start feeling itchy or see any rash, get to a doctor immediately.
I had a minor case of diarrhea but nothing major, but I did get a headache from hell one day. I called my doctor and they said it could be due to the medication. It went away after a day.
