Hi everyone, I've recently been prescribed Votrient 200mg Tablets (Pazopanib) for my kidney cancer. I've read the possible side effects, which are quite extensive, and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm looking for any insights or experiences from others who have taken this medication. How did you manage the side effects? Were any particularly bothersome? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had some weird skin changes. My palms and soles got really irritated and red. It was actually the most annoying side effect for me. Moisturize a lot and keep an eye on it.

Just remember, the goal is to fight the cancer. The side effects are tough, but they’re manageable. Stay strong!

I had a friend who was on Votrient. They experienced some pretty severe electrolyte problems, which led to some hospital visits. Make sure you’re staying hydrated and keeping an eye out for those symptoms!

Honestly, the hair loss was the hardest part for me. I didn’t expect it to be so severe. But the drug did work well against my soft tissue sarcoma. Just be prepared and talk to your doctor about coping strategies.

I was on Votrient for a while and the fatigue was the worst for me. It was like a constant hangover. But the nausea was manageable with some anti-nausea meds. Be prepared for lots of doctor visits to monitor your blood pressure and thyroid levels.

I wasn’t expecting the taste changes. Food started tasting weird to me for a few weeks.

Has anyone experienced blurred vision or trouble speaking? I had a bit of that and it was scary.

I’m glad you’re seeking advice. Just remember, everyone’s experience is different. Keep a detailed journal of how you feel and report any changes to your doctor.
