Warning: My Doxycycline Monohydrate 150mg Caps side effects — what to watch out for

I wish I had known about vision problems! I got them and it was scary. I thought I was going blind. It took a few days to go away after I quit taking them, but it was awful.

I had to go to the hospital, and my doctor had to change out my antibiotic entirely! Seemed a bit silly to me, but I guess they were worried about all these severe side effects.

I'm so glad you posted this! I've been worried because I have a few of the symptoms but not all of them. I definitely need to talk to my doctor about this. Also, I've had trouble swallowing water and I have no idea what that's about. I never knew it could cause that. Shame you didn't know about those side effects.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this! If you experience any more signs of an allergic reaction, like swelling of the face or severe stomach pain, then it's definitely time to call a doctor or go to the ER. I had to stop taking it due to Throat irritation, but I had no idea it could be that serious. I never knew this. I would have stopped taking it right away if I did!

Does anyone else find this medication useful? I feel like I've had a lot of side effects, but nothing that bad so far. I'm a little worried about the diarrhea, though. I had that before and it was awful.

I had to stop Doxycycline because of severe dizziness. It was terrifying. I felt like I was going to pass out every time I stood up. I had no idea this could happen with antibiotics. However, I think it was worth it. My acne is gone. Now I just have to deal with the fact that I can't be in direct sunlight without burning.

Your rash should have been prevented! I got the rash and had to stop the medication. It went away after that, but it was awful and lasted for a while. If I had known it could be so bad, I'd have quit taking them!
