Hello, everyone! I've recently been prescribed Lincomycin 300mg/ml Inj, 2ml for a serious bacterial infection. The doctor mentioned it's given by injection to stop the growth of bacteria. I've been reading about the potential side effects, and some of them are quite concerning. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially regarding the more serious side effects like allergic reactions or severe skin reactions. Are these common, or is it really rare? I'm particularly worried about things like Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). What should I be on the lookout for? Any advice or personal stories would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Lincomycin is a powerful antibiotic, but it's definitely not without its risks. I had a friend who developed a severe allergic reaction after taking it. She had hives and her face started to swell. She had to go to the ER right away. It was scary, but she recovered. If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, don't mess around—get to the hospital immediately.

This medication is a lifesaver in a lot of situations. The doctor will not prescribe you this unless you have a bad infection. Trust in the doctor, and you will be fine.

I had a bad reaction to it. I had a skin irritation and my eyes were irritated, definitely keep track of your side effects, make note of them in a journal. If you get anything like this, get to the hospital. I don't think this medicine is worth taking, but that's just my opinion. If you try it, make sure you know the signs of the severe side effects.

Lincommycin is for serious infections. If you have a bad infection, it's worth the risk of side effects. If you don't, this might not be the best medication for you. Good luck! Remember even common things like dizziness, drowing, and headaches can be severe, but they are usually not.

I've never heard of anyone having a severe reaction, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. Keep a close eye on yourself and if you see anything like mouth sores, pale skin, or fever, get yourself checked out right away. I'd say don't sweat the small stuff, but it's still important to stay on the lookout.

I had to deal with some serious stomach issues while on Lincomycin. Diarrhea, vomiting, and severe stomach pain. It made everyday life miserable. Call your doctor if you have upsets stomachs. Stay hydrated and avoid spicy food. You might not be able to enjoy spicy food again.

I was on this for a while and didn't experience anything too bad. Just some dizziness and a mild headache.
