Be really careful with this one. I know a friend who got prescribed Ativan and it helped at first, but then he started having these crazy hallucinations and memory loss. It was terrifying. He had to go to the hospital and they had to figure out a way to help him come down from it.
I was on Ativan for a few months and it really helped with my panic attacks. However, I did experience some drowsiness and dizziness, especially when I first started taking it. It took about a week to start feeling the benefits. My doctor advised me to taper off slowly to avoid withdrawal symptoms, and it worked well.
Does anyone know if Ativan can cause weight gain? I've been on it for a month and I've noticed some changes in my weight, but I'm not sure if it's related to the medication.
Watch out for the drowsiness. I felt like a zombie for the first few days. Driving was not an option.
