Hi everyone, I was recently bitten by a coral snake while hiking and was treated with Antivenin Na Coral Sn Inj in the hospital. I'm curious about what others have experienced with this treatment. The doctor explained that it's an antivenom made from horse antibodies and is given intravenously. They mentioned some possible side effects, but I'm wondering if anyone has had a more serious reaction or any long-term effects. How long did it take for you to fully recover? Also, I'm interested in knowing how common it is to experience the more severe symptoms listed, like feeling extremely tired or weak, cough, or shortness of breath. Any insights or personal stories would be greatly appreciated!

This is a serious issue. Always have proper snake bite first-aid kit. I never go hiking without one.

I was bit by a coral snake a few years back and received the same treatment. I remember feeling extremely weak and tired for a couple of days, but it went away gradually. The doctors kept a close eye on me for any signs of an allergic reaction, but thankfully, I didn't experience any of the severe symptoms. Recovery took about a week, and I was back to my usual activities. It's scary to think about, but the treatment worked well for me.

I am an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, and I always carry a snakebite kit with me. I had a friend who got bit by a coral snake and had a bad reaction to the antivenom. It was a close call, but he recovered safely. It's always good to be prepared and know what to do in case of an emergency. I always hope my friends and family stay safe and healthy.

I had a friend who got bit by a coral snake and had an allergic reaction to the antivenom. He experienced swelling of the face and throat, which is terrifying to think about. They managed to stabilize him, but it was a close call. Always be aware of the risks and make sure you're in a place where you can get immediate medical attention if needed. Don't mess around, snakes are serious business.
