I've been recently prescribed Xembify 1gm/5ml for primary immunodeficiency. I'm a bit overwhelmed by the possible side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'm curious to know the pros and cons, and how others manage it. Also, how do you handle the injections at home? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to give myself the injection but ended up feeling really dizzy and had to stop. A nurse had to do it for me for a while until I got used to it.

Do the side effects go away after a few weeks, or are they something you have to deal with long-term? I’m a bit anxious about the long-term implications.

I wish they had better information on long-term side effects. I know someone who had severe allergic reactions and ended up in the hospital. Scary stuff.

I’ve been on Xembify for a year now. It’s been a game-changer for me. My infections have significantly decreased, and I feel much better overall but I do have to be careful with the side effects. The most annoying part is the injection site irritation, but it’s manageable. Just make sure to rotate injection sites and use a numbing cream if needed.

I think the worst part is the constant worry about side effects. It’s hard to enjoy the benefits when you’re always on edge about potential problems.
