I was diagnosed with ALS a year ago, and my neurologist prescribed Riluzole 50mg tablets. I've been taking them for about 6 months now, and I wanted to share my experience with anyone else who might be considering or currently taking this medication. Riluzole is supposed to slow down the progression of ALS by protecting nerve cells from glutamate, but I'm not sure if I've noticed a significant difference yet. I've experienced some ups and downs with the side effects, but I'll talk about that more in a bit. I'd love to hear from others who are taking this medication and how it's going for them.
