Just got prescribed Reclast for osteoporosis. Anyone have experience with the IV infusion?
I was just prescribed Reclast (zoledronic acid) 5mg/100ml IV injection for my osteoporosis. I've heard it's given once a year and can help strengthen bones. Has anyone else used it? Who thought that something in an IV could cause so much trouble? Not me, that's for sure. But it's better than breaking a hip, right? Stay strong, everyone!

I had a weird sensation in my mouth and throat after the infusion. My doctor assured me it was normal. Just make sure to let your doctor know everything you experience. Being a good communicator helped me a lot.
Just remember, everyone’s experience is different. Some people have no side effects, others have a tough time. Stay positive and listen to your body. You'll be fine!
