Just picked up a Dologen prescription and I'm really worried about the side effects: Should I be concerned?
I recently started feeling some cold symptoms and was prescribed Dologen (acetaminophen 325mg) tabs by my doctor. I was surprised to find out it's a combination of an antihistamine (dexbrompheniramine) and a pain reliever/fever reducer. I'm a bit concerned because it has some serious side effects including liver problems and severe skin reactions. I'm specifically worried about the signs of liver problems like dark urine, tiredness, and yellowing of the skin or eyes. Has anyone had any experience with these side effects or have any advice on how to manage them? I want to make sure I'm safe while taking this medication.

Dologen has been a lifesaver for me during colds. Just keep an eye on your urine and skin and you should be okay. If you notice anything weird, go to the doctor ASAP.
Make sure to not take this with other pain relievers that have acetaminophen in them. You could accidentally take too much and cause damage to your liver. That's a biggie! Always check the labels and consult a doctor.
I've had luck with a lower dose, might want to try that if you notice any side effects. But yeah, if you start feeling nervous or really tired, talk to your doc. It might be worth discussing the trade-offs about trying a different antihistamine if drowsiness is an issue.
Yeah, I get really drowsy when I take Dologen. Not a big fan.
