I recently started taking Prazosin Hcl 5mg Capsules for high blood pressure and to help manage nightmares related to PTSD. I read that it has some serious potential side effects so I was wondering how many others have tried it? What are my odds of experiencing severe side effects? How can I manage other side effects like dizziness or headaches that I've already had a little bit? Hopefully, some of you have had positive experiences with this drug.

I've been on Prazosin for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my nightmares. I've had some dizziness, but it's manageable. Just take it easy when you stand up.

I started taking Prazosin and had a weird reaction where my heart felt like it was racing. Scared me so I stopped taking it. Do any of you have any issues like that?

Has anyone else experienced priapism? It's scary to think about, but it seems rare.

Be careful – my wife took this for PTSD nightmares and had a severe allergic reaction. Scary stuff.

Prazosin saved my life. I was in a bad spot with my PTSD and the nightmares were unbearable. This drug has helped me sleep better and manage my symptoms. It's not perfect, but it's made a big difference.

I've been on Prazosin for years for high blood pressure, and it works great. I've had a few headaches, and it can make you drowsy, but nothing too bad. Getting up slowly from a sitting or lying position helps with the dizziness. It's worth it to manage my BP.

I took this for a while and it helped with my blood pressure, but the dizziness was too much. I switched to a different med and it's been fine.

I had no idea this was used off-label for PTSD nightmares. That's interesting. Any success stories out there?
