Lonsurf 20mg/8.19mg Tablets 60s: My Experience and Side Effects

I've started using Lonsurf 20mg/8.19mg Tablets 60s for advanced colorectal cancer. It combines trifluridine and tipiracil and it's helped slow down the spread of cancer cells. My doc said it interferes with the cancer cells' growth. However, I've been experiencing some side effects. I'm curious about others' experiences and any tips on managing the side effects. I want to know is there anything I can do about the hair loss I've been experiencing. I've also had some stomach pain and changes in taste. Has anyone else gone through this? Also, I'm worried about the severe side effects list. Are these common? Any advice would be great.

How has your experience been with Lonsurf 20mg/8.19mg Tablets 40s for colorectal or stomach cancer?

Lonsurf is a chemotherapy medication used to treat certain types of advanced colorectal and stomach cancer. It contains two active ingredients: trifluridine, which helps stop cancer cells from growing, and tipiracil, which helps trifluridine stay in the body longer to work effectively. The urgent side effects to look for are severe allergic reactions, signs of infection, bleeding, and electrolyte problems. It's important to recognize these symptoms early and seek immediate medical attention. Other possible side effects include hair loss, fatigue, headaches, stomach pain, mouth sores, and changes in taste. While many people experience these side effects in addition to the urgent symptoms, some people may not experience any at all. Always consult your doctor before making any changes. If you or someone you know is taking Lonsurf, please share any advice or concerns you might have.

Lonsurf 15mg/6.14mg Tablets 60s: My Experience, Questions and Advice Needed

I'm hard at work doing chemo. I just started taking Lonsurf to attack metastatic colon cancer and I'm curious about how others are handling this. I've had significant hair loss and nausea so far, but I'm told that's normal. What about other side effects you've experienced that you didn't expect? How did you cope? What questions should I be asking my doctor about side effects that aren't listed? Are there any supplements or lifestyle changes you found helpful? Also, does anyone know about generic versions? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience! If you have any advice on coping with lethargy and fatigue, I'd love to hear it.

My Experience with Lonsurf 15mg/6.14mg Tablets: Side Effects and Managing Them

I was diagnosed with advanced rectal cancer earlier this year, and my oncologist prescribed Lonsurf. From what I understand, it's a combo of trifluridine and tipiracil to stop cancer cells from growing. So far, I’ve been taking it for about 3 months. The side effects can be pretty rough, but I've found a few strategies to manage them better. I've had some serious side effects, including a lot of diarrhea and nausea. I talked to my doctor about it, and we figured out a good way to manage it. I need to stay hydrated, eat a bland diet, and take anti-nausea meds when needed. The worst part is when my blood cell counts drop, but we monitor it closely to manage it. I also experience some hair loss, especially in the first few weeks. I was prepared for that, I guess. The hair loss was hard for me and I lost my hair very quickly. But I've learned to deal with it, and see it as a small price to pay for the treatment to be effective, but who knows. There are some people who have worse hair loss and others who don’t experience hair loss at all. It feels like I’m constantly tired, and I used to exercise a lot. But I just don’t have the energy to do anything except to rest. My doctor recommended some light exercise to keep up my strength and mobility, but it’s tough. I’ve also noticed some changes in my head, like not being able to think as clearly as normal, and I think it’s because of the medicine. Has anyone else had this experience? I'm worried about my mental health, and it’s been really hard to handle on top of everything else. I’ve noticed that I’m a bit more depressed and anxious, but I’m not sure if it’s related to the meds or just everything that’s been going on. People are saying that a lot of these side effects will pass, and hopefully that’s the case. I know that it's tough, but I try to stay positive and hope for the best. But it is easy to get down and discouraged while fighting cancer and dealing with all these side effects. I know some of the side effects are common, but it’s a really tough time. This is hard enough on a person, and the side effects are just adding to it. I’m glad there are others talking about it and sharing their experiences.
