Xalkori 20mg Capsules (pellets): A Game-Changer for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer? Share Your Experiences!

Xalkori 20mg Capsules (pellets) is a targeted therapy designed to treat certain types of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with specific genetic changes, such as ALK or ROS1 gene rearrangements. By inhibiting the signals that promote cancer cell growth, Xalkori can slow down or stop the progression of the disease, making it a crucial option for those with these specific genetic mutations. However, like any medication, Xalkori comes with a list of potential side effects, ranging from mild to severe. This thread is for those who have used or are currently using Xalkori. We'd love to hear about your experiences, good and bad. Do the benefits outweigh the risks? How has your quality of life been affected? What kind of support system do you rely on? If you're a medical professional, we'd also appreciate your insights into managing Xalkori's side effects and its overall efficacy in treating NSCLC.

Just started Lumakras 240mg Tablets for NSCLC with KRAS G12C mutation - any tips or experiences?

Hey everyone, I just started Lumakras 240mg Tablets for my non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with the KRAS G12C mutation. I'm feeling a bit anxious about the side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else been on this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Also, what should I do if I start experiencing the electrolyte problems that come with treatment? I've heard that they can be quite challenging to deal with. Should I be concerned if I don't start experiencing the side effects straight away? Also, which valid side effects should I look out for? How should I be managing them? All advice appreciated!

My experience with Pemetrexed - Would love to hear from others on this treatment!

I just started Pemetrexed as part of my treatment plan for non-small cell lung cancer. I'm really curious about other people's experiences with this chemo. I had my first infusion a few days ago, and while I haven't experienced any severe side effects yet, I am feeling pretty fatigued and my mouth is quite irritated. I know everyone is different, but I wonder how other people coped with the initial treatment? Did anyone else experience these early side effects? And how did your doctors manage them? Keep in mind, I am not a doctor, so I do not know the complete ins and outs of Pemetrexed. I just want to hear some stories so I can prepare myself for the future treatments.
